Virgin Active members have access to our Biokineticists :
When signing up with Virgin Active, members will have to complete a Physical Activity Readiness questionnaire (PAR-Q).
This will determine whether the member has any potential health risks.
Should that be the case the member will need to go for a “Clearance” before they may begin exercising. The “clearance” can be obtained from a GP or from the Biokineticist at the gym.
It is an opportunity for the member to discuss their health condition and receive feedback from a medical professional.
Once clearance is obtained the member can begin training.
The Biokineticist may feel that a specific intervention is needed and will then suggest a second appointment for their evaluation or programme prescription etc.
All appointments with the Biokineticist will be charged according to medical aid rates.
